Kirk has over 30 years’ experience as an investment banker, commercial banker, business development executive, and venture investor. He has extensive experience with the full spectrum of corporate finance, including mergers, acquisitions and valuations, and has worked on transactions ranging in size from multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects to seed stage venture backed equipment financings.
Prior to joining Woodside Capital, Kirk was a Director of Newforth Partners, a boutique M&A advisory firm focused on the technology sector. Previously, he consulted with a number of development stage enterprise and specialty software companies in the broadband internetworking and video compression area and assisted them in raising capital and forming strategic relationships.
Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President at Silicon Valley Bank where he was a core team member in forming its investment banking division. Prior to Silicon Valley Bank, Kirk was a Vice President at Lighthouse Capital Partners where he sourced and structured venture leasing and debt transactions for early stage venture-backed companies. Kirk also worked in the Corporate Finance Department of Smith Barney in New York. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Technology Credit Union, a $2 billion (assets) financial institution located in San Jose, CA.
Kirk received a BA degree in International Relations (with distinction) from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Harvard’s Graduate School of Business.
