As Senior Partner and Managing Director of Woodside Capital Partners since 2007, Greg has advised well over 50 growth-stage companies on the best financing and exit strategies. He draws his expertise from his background and experience, as well as the research and preparation of strategy and M&A-focused reports on subjects ranging from the Internet of Things to Semiconductor M&A. Greg has presented at various industry conferences, made appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Investors’ Business Daily.
Greg has led and worked on many M&A advisory, private placements, initial public offerings, and follow-on offerings since 1993 when he began his investment banking career. He was a senior sell-side technology analyst for Alex. Brown and UBS through 2000 and then a portfolio manager/technology analyst for Engemann Asset Management on the buy side and in an advisor role at many hedge funds.
Greg built his extensive domain experience in semiconductors and electronics through his work for Intel where he was involved with corporate development. He was also on the team to introduce Intel’s Pentium microprocessor and oversaw product management of the i486 microprocessor. Prior, he worked for Digital Equipment as a semiconductor engineer.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
