Amar Senan brings considerable experience in technology, investment banking and management to Woodside Capital Partners, coupled with a track record of working closely with CEOs and Boards of growth-oriented companies on strategy, M&A and financing.
He began his career as a software engineer with Ericsson and subsequently worked on information systems for airline schedules planning at Australian Airlines. He then moved into management consulting and worked on IT systems and business process reengineering projects for several private and government organizations.
Since then Amar has worked as an investment banker on Wall Street advising technology and business services companies on strategy, M&A and financing, initially at Volpe Brown Whelan (VBW) and then at Saints Advisors/Saints Capital. At VBW, he provided equity research on networking and software companies and was involved in the successful IPO and secondary financing of several American and Israeli technology companies.
Amar also has a number of years of operating experience at executive level in business-corporate development and marketing at public and several venture-funded Silicon Valley companies, including Ixia (Nasdaq), Corona Networks and Kestrel Solutions.
He has engineering degrees in Electrical & Systems Engineering from RMIT; a BS in Economics (Banking, Trade & Industry) from the University of London; and a Masters in International Business from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
