Patrick comes to Woodside Capital Partners with over 20-years experience in finance and operation, including P&L responsibility for several million dollars of annual revenue, and operational responsibility for sales, marketing and customer support operations in the US, Europe and Latin America, as well as strategic and financial planning. In addition he has demonstrated success in evaluating investments and raising capital on Wall Street.
- Some highlights of Patrick’s career include:
- As President & CEO of Æther Wire, one of the pioneers in UWB technology for low-power, location-aware radios, he successfully negotiated a number of multi-million dollar engagements to further develop the technology, and successfully negotiated an exit for the investors.
- As EVP of Business Development at Armillaire, a venture-backed start-up developing a packet-based communications switch, he built the sales, marketing and customer support team, defined the product requirements and marketing strategy, and negotiated sales, installation, and support to a US CLEC, and to major international PTTs.
- As an Equity Research analyst at Sutro, First Union and Smith Barney, he was an advisor in a number of public offerings, private offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition he was twice recognized by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top stock pickers in telecommunications equipment.
- As National Sales Manager at Trimble Navigation, a venture-backed start-up building satellite communications equipment, he defined the product requirements and marketing strategy for new market areas, built the sales channel, and was instrumental in helping Trimble enter the military market and gain the highest market share in satellite-based mapping systems.
Patrick received an MBA from Stanford University, an SB in Chemical Engineering and an SB in Chemistry, both from MIT. He also served in the US Army.
